What is Tantra?

Tantra gives methods to directly experience universal truths.

Tantra is an invitation to experiment with meditations and methods that lead us to experience our wholeness beyond duality and to experience reality as it is freed from the lenses of our mind.

Tantra is not a religion but a science, a science which explores human experience. You are the laboratory. No belief is needed, only daringness to experiment. Only through transformation can you understand Tantra.

Tantra recognizes and honours all that we are as human beings. It embraces every aspect of our nature as a potential gateway to transformation and awakening. Our light, our dark, our gifts, our wounds our very physical body, our desires, sex itself and all the senses, become portals to deepen self-awareness and connectedness with all life. By entering into these various aspects of our nature with love and meditation the gifts of healing, ecstacy, wisdom, truth and freedom unfold.

Our divinity and our humanity embrace.

Sexual Healing

Tantra is unique as a spiritual path in that it honours the body as divine. Our sexual life is embraced as a sacred aspect of our humanity. Through the intrinsic nature of orgasm we experience qualities which are often regarded as the fruits of meditation, namely, ecstacy, bliss, no mind, timelessness, connectedness to all and expanded consciousness. Tantra has always recognized this innate union of sex with spirituality and offers methods, which bring profound healing to our sexuality as love and meditation meet.

At this moment in human history no culture exists where sex and sexuality are revered as precious, vital parts of life. On the contrary as children grow their natural joy-filled, sensuous innocence and their connectedness to their bodies is distorted through the pervading beliefs and admonitions of their particular society and their own parents. Compounding this may be layers of painful experiences, abuse or destructive relationships.

Tantra offers a tender and sacred space to heal the wounds we have received to our sexuality. Tantric practices can lead to clearing of the shame and guilt we often carry in this most intimate aspect of our being. Tantra restores a sense of the sacrament that sexual union can be, it nourishes and celebrates sexual life force and offers deep healing, reconnecting us to our innate unconquerable wholeness.
